Grand Chef de Gare

2011-2012

First of all I would like to thank all of you who have volunteered to serve in the many positions of Grand du Georgia. These positions are essential in allowing Grand du Georgia to have another successful year. Our Grand Chef de Gare Passé has provided us with lofty goals to maintain and, with your help, we will succeed.

I have a long history of interest and activity in veteran activities. I was in the Army during the Vietnam era and have vivid memory of our veterans’ plight. I have been involved in veteran’s programs for over 29 years and have been an active Voyageur in Locale 499 for eight years. During that time, I have served as Directeur of the Nurses Training Scholarship Program, Voiture Correspondent, Grand Aumonier and Grand Conducteur. I also have been active in VAVS services for seven years, and have been honored to be Locale VAVS Directeur and Sous and Grand Directeur for Grand du Georgia. Over the past six years, I have served as a Deputy Representative at the VA Medical Center in Atlanta, volunteering one day per week and assisting in planning special events.

It is my goal to keep our many programs growing to assist veterans, children and student nurses throughout the State of Georgia. With your help, we can showcase La Societe’s many programs which will increase community interest and in turn help us grow our membership.
